Mohammad Babar Azam is the most lively and most loved cricketer. He was born on 15 October 1994 in Pakistan and started his career as a cricketer. Mohammad Barber Aam is the current Captain of the Pakistan national cricket team and is regarded as one of the finest and most desirable batters in contemporary Cricket. He ranked as the number one batter in ODIs, but he is third in T20Is and fourth in Tests. These are his achievements, but wait, it doesn’t end here.

Barber Azam was born on 15 October 1994 in Pakistan Punjab Lahore. In May 2015, Mohammad Babar Azam became a member of the Pakistani ODI squad for the home series, which was being played against Zimbabwe. On 31 May, he made his ODI debut in the third ODI and scored an impressive 54 runs on 60 balls. His remarkable debut earned him a place in Test and ODI squads. Barber Azam’s Breaking Records, Rise Of His Career

In 2016, he was selected for the home series against the West Indies, and in the first match, he scored his international century. Baber Azam scored 120 runs in 131 balls and won his first Man of the Match award. He scored another century in the second series, scoring 123 runs in 26 balls this time. In other words, he helped Pakistan put up a score of more than 330 runs. Barber Azam scored a third consecutive century in the series’ third and final. He also broke the record for scoring the most runs in a three-match ODI series. He became the only batsman to score 350+ runs in a three-match ODI series.

In Dubai on 13 October 2016, Mohammad Barber Azam made his Test debut for Pakistan against the West Indies by scoring 69 runs in his first innings. Through day/night, he was the first player to make a score of 50 on his Test debut. 

In 2017, in the third ODI against Australia, Barber Azam became the joint-fastest player. Barber Azam scored 1,000 runs in ODIs. He became the fastest batsman for Pakistan in his 21st innings before his compatriot Fakhar Zaman eclipsed his national and world record. After Zaheer Abbas in 1981, Barber scored a century in the fifth ODI. It was the second century by a Pakistani batsman in Australia. For the first time, he entered the top 10 batters’s ranking in ODIs.

Barber Azam And The Champions Trophy

In the Champions Trophy 2017, Barber Azam scored 46 runs in 52 balls in the final match, which was played against India. ICC sent the World XI team to Pakistan after the successful Champions Trophy and played three T20I matches. Azam was the top-best scorer in the series. In the first T20I, at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, he played impressively and won his first Man of the Match award in T20Is. But then he performed well in the T20I series, becoming the leading run-scorer with 109 runs. After thirteen years, He ranked top-one after a successful series against West Indies. His best performance came in the second T20I. He completed the series as the top-best run-getter with 165 runs, averaging 82.50 and with a strike of 148.64. Babar Azam and Fakhar led Pakistan to 3–0 and won the match series.

During a Test match against England in 2018, when he was batting at 68, he was struck on the arm without padding by a bouncer from Ben Stokes. The X-ray examination confirmed that Azam had a fracture with a broken arm in his left wrist. After recovery, he returned to the side against Zimbabwe in July for the ODI series. He managed to score 184 runs at an average of 184 in 4 innings and performed well.

In September 2018, he was selected for the 2018 Asia Cup held in the United Arab Emirates. Playing his first Asia Cup, he only managed to score 156 runs in 5 matches, but honestly, he could have done better. Later, In November 2018, in the second Test, which was against New Zealand, he made his first century in a Test cricket match.

Barber Azam, 2019 Cricket World Cup      

In April, Mohammad Baber Azam was named in Pakistan’s squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. The International Cricket Council (ICC) named him one of the five talented cricketers making their Cricket World Cup debut. Additionally, In May 2019, he was also signed by Somerset as their overseas player for the t20 in 2019.

Barber Azam also became the first middle-order batsman from Pakistan. After 32 years, He hit a century in a World Cup match. In the game against Bangladesh, Babar broke Javed Miandad’s record. Baber scored his second Test century In the first Test of the series, which was played against a super-strong bowling lineup. However, he missed out on his second successive century when he was dismissed on 97 in the second Test. He scored 210 with an average rate of 52.50.

Test series held in December 2019, where Sri Lanka returned to Pakistan for two matches. This restarted Test cricket in Pakistan after a decade’s absence. Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium was hosting the first Test match during this process. He was the joint cricketer to secure the most wins as captain.

Furthermore, On 5 May 2023, he became the fastest batter in the history of ODI cricket to score 5,000 runs in terms of innings during the 4th ODI against New Zealand.
